I had mixed feelings about my stay at Hotel Agora. The location was fantastic, right in the heart of Amsterdam, making it easy to explore all the sights. However, the cleanliness and maintenance of the hotel left a lot to be desired.

My room specifically was not cleaned properly. the bathroom had some mold, and the overall smell was musty and smoky. Not what I expected.
Service

The staff were pleasant and accommodating. they even stored my luggage while I took a trip, which was a great help.
Location

The location couldn't be better. just a short stroll away from major attractions and steps from a tram stop.
Dining

Breakfast was a bit skimpy. the first morning they ran out of boiled eggs, which was disappointing.

While the hotel was not fancy, it was comfortable enough. I appreciated the modern bathroom fixtures which suited me as an American traveler.

I had a great stay at Hotel Agora in Amsterdam. The location was perfect, just a short walk to major attractions, and the staff was friendly and accommodating. However, the steep stairs might be an issue for some, and I did experience minor issues with my room's cleanliness. Overall, it was a fantastic base for my trip that I would recommend to others.

The rooms were decent and clean, though mine could have used a bit more attention, especially in the bathroom.

5.2/10

I had mixed feelings about my stay at Hotel Agora. The location was fantastic, right in the center of Amsterdam and just a short walk from everything I wanted to see. However, the noise from the club next door was quite disruptive, especially at night. The rooms were outdated and not particularly clean, which was disappointing for the price I paid.

Rooms
5.0
The room I stayed in was quite old-fashioned with minimal amenities. There was no kettle, just one English TV channel, and it felt cramped. I expected a double room but ended up with two beds instead. Overall, it needed serious cleaning and updating.
Service
7.0
The staff were very friendly and helpful, which was a highlight of my stay. They did their best to assist whenever I needed something, which made the experience more pleasant despite the other issues.
Location
9.0
I loved the location of the hotel. It was centrally located, so I could easily walk to many attractions in just ten minutes. Being so close to everything really enhanced my trip.
Dining
5.0
Breakfast was quite minimal, with just hard-boiled eggs, toast, a small selection of fruit, and some pastries if I arrived early enough. It sufficed to start the day, but I was hoping for a bit more variety.
Facilities
5.0
The hotel did not seem to offer much in terms of facilities. The rooms were small, and I found some cleanliness issues that were concerning. Overall, it felt like the hotel had not kept up with necessary maintenance.

I stayed for three nights at Hotel Agora, and while the location was fantastic and the staff friendly, there were some shortcomings. The room needed a bit of an update, and cleanliness was a concern, especially in the bathrooms. Overall, I enjoyed my trip, but there were areas for improvement.

Rooms
6.0
The room was nice and airy, but it felt a bit tired and in need of a refresh. Clean linens were a plus, but I noticed the bathroom cleanliness could be improved, and the towels weren't replaced daily.
Service
7.0
The reception staff was welcoming, and I appreciated being allowed to check in early. However, there were a couple of instances where cleanliness and minor repairs were overlooked by staff.
Location
9.0
The hotel's central location was a major highlight, making it easy to walk to many attractions within minutes.
Dining

Breakfast was a nice spread with tea, coffee, cereals, and pastries. It truly added value to my stay, especially considering it was included.
Facilities

The facilities were basic but sufficient. WiFi did not work properly for me, and the bathroom had some issues, such as a missing shower curtain.

I had a mixed experience at Hotel Agora. The comfy bed and good breakfast were definitely highlights, but the dated rooms and noisy surroundings were drawbacks. The location was fantastic, though, making it easier to explore Amsterdam.

Rooms
5.0
My room was pretty small and felt quite dated, but it was clean and had what I needed. The bathroom could have used a bit more attention during cleaning.
Service
5.0
I found the staff mostly friendly, but had a couple of awkward encounters. One staff member made me feel uncomfortable about our booking price. Another seemed harsh when we asked for clean glasses.
Location
5.0
The hotel's location was excellent! Close to attractions, restaurants, and shops. I loved being just steps away from a supermarket and the flower market, but the nightclub next door could get noisy.
Dining
5.0
Breakfast was decent, with plenty of options like muesli and fresh fruit that filled me up. It was nice to fuel up before exploring the city.
Facilities
5.0
The hotel has basic amenities and free Wi-Fi, which was handy. Just be prepared for some steep stairs and no elevator.
